Roasted Herb Chicken

What You'll Need


1 Refrigerated Pie Crust
2 Tbsp. Corn Starch
Egg Whites (Optional)
9-inch Pie Plate or Small Baking Dish

 

 

Instructions


Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare Herb Chicken in skillet as directed. In a small bowl, combine cornstarch with 2 Tbsp. water until starch is dissolved. Add mixture to skillet and stir. Bring to a simmer and turn off heat. Fill pie plate or baking dish with prepared Herb Chicken and cover with refrigerated pie crust. Fold edges under and press as you would a pie to close crust against baking dish. Cut 4-6 one-inch air holes on top of crust with paring knife. (OPTIONAL: Brush lightly with egg whites to speed browning.) Place baking dish in pre-heated oven on center rack and bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Carefully remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes before serving.

COOKING GUIDELINES
For food safety and quality, follow these cooking instructions.  Cook thoroughly to at least 165°F before eating. Promptly refrigerate unused portions.

RECOMMENDED: SKILLET
Pour contents into skillet. Cook in covered skillet on medium to high heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Let stand 2-3 minutes before serving.
 
SECONDARY: MICROWAVE OVEN (1200 Watt)
Pour contents into microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on HIGH for 7 minutes. Stir, re-cover and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Let stand in microwave for 2-3 minutes. Carefully remove from microwave. Stir contents and serve.

CAUTION:  DO NOT COOK IN BAG.
